Feb 14, 2011 I’m trying to work out the number of possible combinations in the following situation — Someone decides to place an accumulator bet on football. There are three possible outcomes for each match (Win, Loss Draw) and he places four different matches on this accumulator. The Combination function takes 3 parameters which are the 3 combinations. In the first example the first input is 3, 3, 3 as from your sample. Now look at the combinations multipliers above. 1st game = 1x2 = 3. 2nd game = 1x2 = 3. 3rd game = 1x2 = 3. Therefore, your 3 parameters are: 3, 3, 3. If you pick 3 teams and bet them as a parlay then there is only one combination that’s the 3 teams you bet. Now if your asking how many combinations can be made out of 3 games that’s a different.
